Wendy A. West Pidkaminy
Wendy A. West Pidkaminy, LCSW-R owns and operates Nurturing Life Concepts, LLC, a counseling and coaching practice. Wendy received her Bachelor's in Business from LeMoyne College and her Master's in Social Work from Syracuse University. She has worked in both the public and private sectors - as a supervisor at Child Protective Services, as a High School Social Worker, as a Military Family Life Consultant and as an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at her alma mater, Syracuse University.
Wendy entered private practice in 2007 and has worked with countless individuals, couples and families. She has completed Level Three Certification in Gottman Couples Therapy and the Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. She has extensive training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), The Nurtured Heart Approach and Narrative Therapy. Most recently, she became certified in Discernment Counseling. Wendy is also an ordained minister and experienced in Christian Counseling.
Wendy has hosted dozens of retreats and seminars around the country, and has authored numerous e-books, and published works such as, Parenting Challenging Children with Power, Love and Sound Mind .
Wendy lives in Central New York and is happily married to her husband, Brian, a retired Army Chaplain and ordained minister. They have two young adult children, Savannah and Chandler. She is a life-long learner who loves to read, travel and spend time with family and friends. She is passionate about helping people navigate their lives and feel better.
