When it’s time for a
professional therapist,
FIND ONE WITH THE COMPASSION, COURAGE & WISDOM TO DO THE WORK WITH YOU.
Not knowing how to embrace and manage intense emotions we all experience, shouldn’t be the thing holding you back from a more meaningful, authentic life.
Minimizing emotions and wearing masks
in an attempt to disguise your true self is hurting you and those around you.
The connection, love and security you desire
within yourself & in your relationships is possible.
That's where I come in.
I’m Wendy A. West Pidkaminy.
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER &
FOUNDER OF INSPIRED LIFE
I help individuals &
couples just like you.
THROUGH TELEHEALTH SERVICES OFFERED IN NEW YORK & FLORIDA
People are my passion
I'm a lifelong learner & avid mental health researcher.
I'm glad you’ve made it this far & are exploring ways to
better your life through therapy
Since I was young, I’ve felt a calling, ushering me to a life of
edifying, equipping & encouraging others
I’ve since spent my adult years polishing and perfecting my craft as a therapist through practice, training, and research.
My research-based approach is different than others out there:
No. 1:
COLLABORATING: Cookie-cutter approaches don’t make the cut.
Realizing that every individual or couple is unique, I customize a plan WITH you...
through delicate reflection, inspiration & motivation... sifting through your present
thoughts and past experiences... piecing together a strategic plan to help you thrive
in your present personal and professional life and seize your ideal future.
No. 2:
LEARNING: It’s not one-and-done over here.
I’m consistently learning and researching effective interventions to help my clients.
To specialize in couples therapy, I have completed the following training: level-three
certified in Gottman couples therapy, externship in emotionally focused couples therapy, the
Doherty approach, discernment counseling, and Level-One certified in the developmental model.
For individuals, I am a trauma informed therapist with extensive training in solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT),
cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the nurtured heart approach,
motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, internal family systems (IFS),
acceptance and commitment therapy as well as grief and loss certification.
No. 3:
PRACTICING: When I say “do the
work” – I practice what I preach.
I’ve spent time as an adjunct professor, course creator, and author which
has added to my skill level in supervision, mentorship, and counseling.
Along with my continued research, I specialize in neuroscience and the
human touch and will weave each of these into your counseling experience.
Values That Guide My Practice
In other words, I’m
dedicated to helping
you figure out the BEST
path for living your
BEST life – inside and
outside of our sessions.
When I'm not working...
I enjoy time with my husband, our two adult children, and our French bulldog, Toby. I love to be in nature, traveling, gathering with friends and family, and finding
as many ways to play and make memories as possible. This year, I’m choosing to embrace joy in all circumstances, to live simply and seek the quieted, unhurried rhythms of life.
Now that you’ve
learned a little
more about me...
I’D LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU AND HELP YOU
Take the Next Step Forward
